Sharon and Tara begin in Acts 9 at verse 10 after Saul’s Damascus-road encounter, blindness, and fasting. They discuss God’s call to Ananias, noting his availability, his honest questions, and God’s reassurance that Saul is a chosen instrument who will suffer while bearing Jesus’ name to Gentiles, kings, and Israel. Ananias calls him “Brother Saul,” lays hands on him, and Saul regains sight, is filled with the Holy Spirit, is baptized, and is strengthened. Saul immediately preaches Jesus as the Son of God in Damascus synagogues, amazes listeners, proves Jesus is the Christ, then faces a murder plot and escapes.
